ABOUT WORRY
Worry, I can boldly state
Is a futile occupation.
Yet most folks go to worrying
At the slightest provocation.
Let me ask you this, my friend,
"Did worry ever mow your lawn?"
"Has worry ever baked some bread
When all your food was gone?"
"Did worry ever find a job?"
"Does it keep the one you've got?"
Tell me,"What good does worry do
When your life is going to pot?"
Oftentimes, I've heard it said,
Worry is like a Rocking chair.
It gives you something you can do,
But it doesn't get you anywhere.
So; When, next, you tend to worry
And you're at the point of despair
Remember, "Worry never budged a thing
But you can move the world with prayer."

This just seems to me to be a good philosophy.

| I like this poem alot.It has some really good points.I especially like how worry doesn't get a job and how worry is like a rocking chair.Very original. It encouraged me not to worry what others think about my poems.I like the ideal about praying.I pray Claud that God will give you many more poems to write and some of them will become very popular. Please pray for me too.Pray that God will help me write more poems and better ones two.Have a good year-ART PAUL |

Very wise words and a good philosophy to live by. I agree that worry doesn't get us anywhere but knowing this doesn't always mean we're not going to worry anyway.
Well expressed poem Claud. I'm not surprised it's your most viewed one. |
