OUT OF THE HEART

Have you noticed the lack of compunction
in folk's use of the "Four letter word?"
The language today is far and away
The worst that I've ever heard.

Just stop and consider the reason
That so many use the language that way.
It goes deeper than just a bad habit.
What they say is the "Mode of the day"

The heart is the seat of emotion
And has a lot to do, by the way,
With what we do, what we think,
And, of course, the things that we say.

Those obscene words that so freely flow
From the mouth, and folks think are so smart
Do not proceed from an intelligent mind
But, rather, a very sick heart!
