Hear me Merlin! incl. graphics

I sit here and I stare.....I hear a cry.........
Is it the voice of my soul...my thoughts...my mind?
I always have so much I want to say.........
But I sigh...as I feel the power of my ideas slip away.
I get lost as I wander over the terrain of my thoughts,
I, more than anyone can put words into your mind........
Then they flare up...so much passion so much fire!
I eagerly lean forward...the milky mists begin to fade.....
Feel me.. hear me..I burn to be heard!
I stare into my ball as I look inwards.........
To the very centre of your being...your soul,
So much magic I feel as I sit here and ponder, I wonder....
I wave my hand......
A white flash..a blinding light......
I disappear.........

I hold in my hand the rune of power......
Patiently I wait for the midnight hour,
When the stars align across the sky....
And the silvery moon has risen up high,
I raise my hands towards the moon......
Quietly I chant the word of the rune,
I close my eyes and start to sway......
Hear me Merlin and feel what I say,
Now I'm strong, I'm filled with magic..
I'm no longer weak..no longer tragic!
Feel my strength..I start to sing......
I'm free, I'm free! I open my new wings,
I gracefully bow then leap into the sky...
WOW..look at me Merlin...I can FLY!
Behold the wonders of your sight.......
As I soar off silently into the night.

When I read Merlin I was whisked away in my imagination to a place that I used to dream about when I was a little girl. Thanks for the memories. A beautifully written piece! Ten out of ten... :o)

This is a great poem Janine. The thought of the rune of power:

QUOTE
I hold in my hand the rune of power
Patiently I wait for the midnight hour
When the stars align across the sky
And the silvery moon has risen up high
I raise my hands towards the moon
Quietly I chant the word of the rune
I close my eyes and start to sway
Hear me Merlin and feel what I say

This reminds me of an old gaelic legend, about the virgin that could summon Merlin's power on the Midsummers nights eve. I am not sure if this is based upon that legend or not, but it is a very powerful wording, incorporating quite a few different myths and legend into it. Good job. And you say that I am versatile and talented. (bowing) I yield to your wisdom and talent.

QUOTE
Hear me Merlin and feel what I say
Now I'm strong, I'm filled with magic
I'm no longer weak............no longer tragic!
Feel my strength......... .I start to sing
I'm free, I'm free! I open my new wings
I gracefully bow then leap into the sky
WOW............ look at me Merlin, I can FLY!
Behold the wonders of your sight
As I soar off silently into the night.

Woooooo.........I just made the same comment on another poem in here. IT LIFTS THE SPIRIT! This is why I love fantasy poetry. It is full of magic and imagination! Writers I think expand a lot in this type of writing. And you Janine are living proof of that.
