Unified Theory
Flying high above our little world,
Where are the borderlines?
I see them on maps, I see them on globes,
Children in school can see them.
Circling the Earth in orbit,
Where did they go?
Perhaps, just a daydream?
A conjuration of political imagination?
Yes, we must stop here,
There's a line drawn in the sand,
But the wind from the other side still whips my hair,
And whatever they breathe, it's still in my air.
The water in the ocean crosses still unhindered,
And what they drink, so do I.
Across these lines of fantasy,
Current political revision of reality,
Clouds come and go uncontrolled.
You see the world your way,
I see it mine.
Funny, but I thought it was the same Earth,
But I guess you need to plant a stop sign to feel your worth?
This us and them, because you believe different,
You think you must force me to change my mind.
When has a fist ever done more than silence someone?
We share a world, and it is the exact same one.
What you do to your world, you do to mine.
What I do to my world, I do to yours.
Tell me, how do you put a border on that?
