Event Horizon:

So many moments,
Draw you over the edge,
Unstoppable passage,
Universal force undeniable.

Forever changed.

There are moments that drag you into another universe,
Incredible lights dawn upon mind and soul,
Like a suspension of natural law,
Darkness is banished in trapped light.

Raw change unleashed.

Sometimes darkness takes on a quality so absolute,
You feel too blinded to ever see again,
A gravity that pulls you to bent knee and beyond,
Too awful to escape a hopeless remorse.

Consequences of weighted moments.

The inexorable pull of time takes you away,
Ever away from those years of innocence,
Far away from the bonds of sibling rivalry,
Draws parents and grandparents past the veil.

Ghosts we wail upon in the darkness.

The cherished becomes cracked and chipped,
Color fades and memory in time,
Calls you like a never ending fall,
Guaranteed to terminate in unknown nothingness.

There are voices calling answers to the dark.

Some say God lives past the last moment,
With angels on wing flitting round his head,
And all-seeing eyes that know the darkness' heart,
There were the music of the spheres plays golden.

Can you see what you are falling towards?

There in the darkness of the unknown,
Where we have no escape from going,
A torrent of heated probabilities,
Perhaps an angel holds out waiting arms.

Beyond the Event Horizon.

The future is a great dark mystery,
Like some black hole of time,
and we are helplessly pulled in.

Captivating ... enthralling ... spellbinding ... insightful ... wonderfully written ... a covert truth.

Excellent work, Dan.
