The Firewater Conspiracy:
Put all the tears and bombs in one basket,
Stir them up and see the evil cauldron boiling,
The witches of the sands have put a curse on us,
And steal our riches as we put the playful razor,
Edge first to our own ignorant throats,
The straws we bury in the sands to drink,
The firewater magic we have made,
Buys all the death for those who hate us,
Our own black habit which we ignore,
Creates Death's X-mas present,
For there is no Christ in what is done,
And as we buy the path to speed,
At the price of throwing our own bones,
And the teeth of those we love,
Straight into Heartache's Abyss,
The haters of the deserts laugh,
Urinating upon graves,
But fail to realize that black magic always rebounds,
Three times the evil and more,
So what will this firewater conspiracy bring,
Save the burning of the very world,
That even the sands will be under the oceans,
And this evil potion will cause no end of weeping,
Time is so short though seeming long,
For us to find clean magic and heal sweet Winter,
And leave the poison buried in the ground,
Because what we call firewater now,
Black crude filthy oil the remains of eons of death,
We can replace in time if we but try,
With the true firewater that gives all life,
From the sweetest drink to the most beautiful sunsets,
Simply enough learn to break our dark thirst,
By learning first to give care and love,
And second learning to break H2 from O.

Oil is the poisonous remnant of death.
Hydrogen is life.

Dan, A wonderful piece powerfully written, accomplishing one of the greatest things a Poet can hope for -- it makes one stop and think!
