Shorthand To The Stars:

Just a fascination,
With the lights at night,
Just a fascination,
When they get it right,
Maybe the gentle gravity,
Persuaded our first engrams of thought,
To start off in a particular direction,
Just a gentle nudge on an atomic scale,
Or perhaps we sail,
Currently across a desert sea of whimsy,
The magic in the sky our Sun flies,
So drained here as to be naught,
But just a focal point,
For such visionary thought,
Sweet stars glowing in the night,
Ask you tell me how oh how,
In that little circle of symbols,
When he saw you he got everything so right?

Author's Comments

I saw an astrologer the other day,
Not really even intentionally, just going
to hear a lecture of interest, but he took
a look at my chart and proceeded to
detail my personality traits to a "T".
I've long thought that astrology was kind
of good at that, more so than prediction of
the future, and the theory about gravity waves
from the planets gently nudging a newborn's first
thought patterns at the physical atomic level is one
I stumbled upon in a flash of insight at an astrology
lecture early this year. Hmmmmm........
