Cities On The Edge:

They sit at the edge of gasoline freedom,
All unknowing and unaware,
Where the wind our brother,
The spirit that can save Human and Earth,
Whispers, whispers, roars, screams, pleads,
Fit me to the wings of mills at sea's edge,
Here where these Great Lakes are flat,
Turn me into bright lightning,
And put split water under your hat,
You could do so much different,
Bicycle paths in weather proof tunnels,
Maybe even see through so the world,
Can still see you too,
Yes there are these great cities,
With names by sea and lake,
And all unknowing unheeding,
Of salvation they are in the best,
Blind searching places to partake,
And the waves whisper incessantly,
Puuuussshhhh,
Puuuussshhhh,
Puuuussshhhh,
As they grace the leading Scottish coast.

Cities on the shorelines stand the best
chance of becoming the world's leading
energy suppliers in a hydrogen and
solar-buffered wind powered economy.
They just haven't realized it yet.
The greatest wind power potential in the
continental US is at the east & west coasts,
and out in the Great Lakes. Interestingly enough,
Electricity can split sea water, or wastewater,
Into hydrogen and oxygen, which then becomes
electricity from fuel cells with steam as the only
exhaust (PURE water) and oxygen for hospitals,
welding, laboratories, etc. A triple product industry.
All just waiting to be built. Hmmmmm. Oh, the
Scottish Coast? They've set up the world's first
energy producing wave power plant. It runs about
400 homes. As of last year.

Dan,
I learn so much from you! :) I never had heard of this before. Closest thing to it that I know of is wind farms. There is a new one just a few miles from here -- quite a sight! Thanks for education! :)
