My Heart Still Longs

My Heart Still Longs

Could this be the end
Of forever I spoke
Had I been tricked
Used as a joke

Why am I yearning
In heart existing
Your gutless silence
Knife twisting

Heart being fooled
I was decieved
I had failed to see
Having believed

Smiles cover pain
Of my mistake
Heartbreak hides
The inside ache

In all this trickery
Cruel pretend
My heart still longs
I loved a friend
