The Essence Of Love

Ever wondered what it meant
To really truly love?
Let me tell you here my friend.
The answer’s from above.

Please be Patient as we go.
As this is where you’ll find
No matter what you do
Love Is Really Kind.

It Does Not Envy what you have
And Does Not Boast its own.
Found in the Big Black Book
This is what is shown.

Arrogant, Self-Respectful.
This is what’s called Proud.
Need to shy away from this.
Let it not show loud.

No need to watch our Ps and Qs.
No need to be so crude.
For we know from this thought
Love, it is not Rude.

Love is not Self-Seeking.
Your thoughts will be for others.
Just what can you add,
Not take from your brothers.

It must be unconditional.
For it does not easily Anger.
What a world this could be
Living without danger.

Record of our Wrongs
Are just not kept around.
Look where you may,
They just can not be found.

Love don’t care for Evil,
And in Truth it does Rejoice.
When time to make decisions,
Here you have the choice.

Now I’ve told you what love is.
And also what it’s not.
Now let me tell what love does
And some of what it’s got.

It’s always there for you and me
Providing its Protection.
Love will always Trust.
It’s confident expectation.

Love, it always Hopes
In good for us all.
It always Perseveres
No matter what the call.

The moral of this verse.
The moral of this tale.
The beauty and the power.
Love Will Never Fail
