I Wanted To Be There

I wanted to be there
Oh I so wanted to be there
But something just didn't work out
Something I couldn't help
But note I still care

I wanted to be there
Yes I wanted to be there
But the car got stalled
I had a bad fall
And I stepped on a nail of a chair

My cell phone went dead
I had one of the worse headaches in my head
Then I fell asleep on the ground
Until the sun came around
So I repeat what I said

I wanted to be there
With flowers so rare
Champaign and candy
Oh Randy my beautiful Randy
Can you forgive me dear

I'll make it up to you
With kisses so true
And hugs from Heaven
I dreamed of you since seven
Oh what can Ido

I'll make it up to you
I'll make it up to you
Oh please forgive me if you will
And love me forever still
And one day I'll make it up to you

But she never did call
She never forgave him at all
So one day he met Susan
And then there was a happy end
